Alex Morey

Manager of Events

Alex Morey joined the 1871 team in September of 2016. Her duties include scheduling, coordinating, promoting, and managing event logistics, as well as executing on-site event strategies and educating both members and visitors alike about 1871’s mission, vision, values, and innovative work.

Prior to joining 1871, Alex served as a Marketing and Events Associate for the Chicago Tribune Media Group. Prior to that, she was a Freelance Marketing Assistant for Glimmer Chicago Advertising Agency, and before moving to Chicago, Alex worked as a Marketing Communications Intern for Habitat for Humanity. Alex graduated with Academic Merit from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communications with emphasis on Creative and Applied Arts.
