Phill is the Program Director at 1871, where he builds top-tier programming to demonstrate 1871’s unfair advantage for entrepreneurial support through applicable curriculum, and access to services and experiences. His work focuses on co-creating the curriculum of 1871’s new DIY startup program, which provides founders with the resources, workshops, and mentors they need to 5X their results regardless of their stage, industry, background, or skill set.
Before joining 1871, Phill was the Client Engagement & Event Manager at Ann Arbor SPARK, an economic development organization that supports businesses and entrepreneurs in Southeast Michigan. Over the last seven years, he’s played an integral role in the economic acceleration of the Detroit/Ann Arbor tech community. Through his work crafting workshops, mentorship programs, and experiential events, Phill has established a fluid system of continued support for entrepreneurs, relying on the tech community as an abundant resource for industry knowledge, workshop facilities, and sponsorships.
