Let’s convene, recognize, and be inspired by black culture, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Juneteenth commemorates the date of the complete freeing of slaves took place, two years after the issued Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1863. Recent events now give a new meaning to such a significant day in history. This event is all-inclusive and will feature various speakers and a musical act. This year’s event will focus on the importance of this day and a conversation about bringing the Chicago community together to practice active allyship and taking actions that create a more equitable and inclusive community.
