1871 hosted the Chicago Loop Alliance’s panel on what a city’s brand actually represents, 1 Million Cups came to network and support entrepreneurs seeking to refine their pitches and our COO Tom Alexander hosted his favorite workshop on how to have difficult conversations—“How to Say F**K You With a Smile on Your Face”.

Any time I’ve dropped in for his workshops they are engaging and it’s very clear that Bob is an incredible educator. After opening remarks from @katrohklin and a keynote from Manchester Metropolitan University’s Simon W. Quin, @choosechicagos Rita Chen and OMD Worldwide’s Kevin Hung sat for a panel moderated by Gensler’s David Broz. Building an authentic city brand isn’t a solitary task—we’re in this together.
