1871 was honored to host the Arts in the Dark press conference for the October 21st night-time parade, where we will be marching along with our very own float! Off campus, we partnered with member company EX3 Labs and Conagra to dedicate their first ever Immersive Learning Lab to the students of George M. Pullman Elementary School. And kudos to SlapMap, which launched their wearable concept (which unfolds into a map of Chicago) this week.

#Our1871 . “I stumbled into entrepreneurship on accident, a friend asked for computer help and shortly afterward client referrals arrived. My early recurring client base inspired me to open a computer repair/retail store at 20 years old on the South Side of Chicago. Entrepreneurship has changed my life for the better. Helping people all over the world is a dream. The freedom to make a living and still attend my siblings musical or dance recital during the middle of the day is a blessing.” . “Being an Entrepreneur, only working a real job once in my entire life to gain new skills—it makes me feel accomplished. I’ve managed to travel the world, help my family, and live independently on entrepreneurship.” – @keiththecomputerguy
