1871 is excited to invite you to an in-person Dia de los Muertos celebration! Come hang out, bring some food to share, and stay for some happy hour drinks while you learn more about this cultural celebration and its symbolism.
Our event includes:
-Educational talk on symbolism and meaning of the holiday
-Sugar skull cookie painting
-Happy hour drinks
-Potluck to share and celebrate our Hispanic and Latin heritage
As part of the traditional holiday, we are setting up a community altar in the shared space to celebrate and honor the lives of loved ones who have passed – if you’re interested in bringing in a picture of a loved one who you want to acknowledge and celebrate, please do so!
