CHICAGO, March 26, 2024 — 1871, global nonprofit innovation hub, is hosting its second annual Cannabis Innovation Summit with execution partner Grown In on April 17, 2024. In this hybrid event, 250+ canna-tech startups, operators, investors, corporate partners, and public attendees will convene for a full day of programming centered around cannabis innovation. 

The 2024 Cannabis Innovation Lab cohort will be highlighted at the event, with founders pitching their startups and showcasing their products and services in an immersive startup alley. Attendees can interact with key players in the cannabis and tech industries for valuable connections and live demos. Hoodie Analytics, Dentons, Illinois Equity Staffing,and World Business Chicago support the 2024 Summit.

Summit Agenda

The public Summit will have interactive cannabis-centered programming from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM CST. Breakfast and lunch will be offered to in-person attendees, followed by happy-hour networking and drinks in the final hour of the event. 

Participants at the Cannabis Summit will immerse themselves in a series of sessions that highlight industry trends, engage in interactive breakout sessions, and listen to keynotes on industry transformation. 

Joining 1871 as the 2024 Cannabis Innovation Summit keynote speaker is Jim Belushi, Founder of Belushi’s Farm. Alongside Belushi, several industry disruptors will host breakout sessions surrounding the future of cannabis, including: ‘The Word out of Washington and State Houses Near You’, featuring Joanne Caceres, Cannabis Law Attorney at Dentons, ‘The State of Cannabis Research 2024’, featuring  Christina Sansone, Community Engagement Manager at Discovery Partners Institute, ‘The Science Behind Cannabis Advertising’, featuring  Mika Stambaugh, Co-Founder & Director of Marketing and PR at Acannability, and Cannabis Supply Chain: The Full Spectrum, featuring Tim Schmitt, Chief Technology Officer at 240 Logistics.   

1871’s Web3 Innovation Summit will be held on the same day for Web3-centered programming. The two Summits will congregate in 1871’s space for interactive Startup Expos and networking opportunities, allowing attendees to interact with startups from both industries, fostering knowledge exchange and inspirational discussions on the latest industry trends. 

While attendees can watch virtually, only a select group of events will be live-streamed. In-person participation is highly recommended. Registration is required to participate in this event. RSVP and confirm your attendance by April 15, 2024, as the number of public tickets is limited.
