Cultivating Tech Leaders of Tomorrow: Introducing the Fall 2024 Tech Leaders Cohort

CHICAGO — 1871’s Fall 2024 Tech Leaders program kicked off in August 2024, and we are thrilled to introduce the 15 professionals who have been accepted into this season’s cohort. 

The leadership development and mentorship program aims to empower the next generation of Black and Latin individuals in the technology space. The tailored 4-month program is designed to equip cohort members with meaningful experiences that further hone their personal and professional skills.

Through this initiative, 1871 reaffirms its commitment to creating a supportive environment that inspires members of underserved tech communities. 

During this season’s program, we are partnering with SANDWINA, a collective of world-class career coaches dedicated to empowering women by making coaching affordable, approachable and actionable.

About the program

The 4-month program is designed to mentor, accelerate and empower the next generation of underserved leaders in the technology space in both technical and market-facing roles. 

The cohort will meet virtually, one Friday each month from 9.6.14 – 12.11.24, for curated peer-driven forums, group coaching sessions, leadership development, workshops and more.

Each member is paired with a “Super Mentor” who they will meet with outside of the workshops for leadership, personal and professional development guidance.
