1871 & BMO Announce the 5 Women-led Fintech Startups Joining the 2024 Cohort for Exclusive Programming & Industry Connections

1871 & BMO are proud to announce the five women-founded fintech startups participating in the 5th cohort of their award-winning program, WMNfintech

WMNfintech is North America’s largest non-profit fintech industry program for women-founded & women-led startups. Since launching in 2020, women-led fintech startups who have participated in this program have raised more than $35M in capital and created 200+ jobs in their respective fields.

Starting in May, the cohort will further develop their services and solutions through the program’s tailored product, business development, and entrepreneurial programming. Each cohort member will also receive exclusive mentorship from BMO executive leaders to help navigate startup fundamentals, including pitch practice and potential access to capital and funding.

About the program

Participants in this cohort are high-potential, early-stage women entrepreneurs whose startups exhibit exceptional promise in their future development and amplification in the financial sector.

The cohort meets for one week of programming in May, June, and July 2024, culminating in September for the program’s final showcase at BMO’s Bay Area office. They’ll have the opportunity to share their business solutions and services with various stakeholders, banking partners, regulators, and trade groups for feedback and support.

The five women founders will have access to 1871’s early-stage membership benefits, including educational programming designed to meet each founder’s unique needs and access to its pool of 150+ mentors and community members. Cohort members will also participate in deep dives and fintech-amplified workshops led by BMO leaders.

Cohort members will be introduced into the powerful community of WMNfintech alumni, financial institutions, venture capitalists, and industry leaders for future networking opportunities.
